After my fall at the hunter pace, I decided to replace my Ovation schooling helmet. I whacked my head hard enough to have a headache for the rest of the day; I figure replacing a helmet is much cheaper than paying for a traumatic brain injury! I have a velvet-like Ovation helmet I've been using for shows that's never endured a fall and still has another few years left on it- I've been riding in it since I fell. But I need a second helmet- I'll probably demote the Ovation to schooling helmet and buy a new show helmet.
There are two things I like to do at work when I need a quick mental break. The first is sitting in various dressage saddles and trying to imagine what they would be like while riding. The other is trying on helmets in a vain effort to find one that flatters my head. Now that I have a reason to be looking for helmets, I've been trying them on with increased zeal.
I need your advice! Which helmet looks the best and makes me look least weird?
They're all roughly equivalent in comfort and fit (although I think the Ayr8 is a little small- but I can certainly acquire one in the right size). Personally, I think the One K and IRH look the best on me; something about the CO helmets just looks weird (although I really like the profile on them).
What do y'all think?

I know they're not the "it" brand but I love my IRH and it is the only helmet I can wear without looking absolutely ridiculous. I think it looks the best on you too.
I agree - the OneK or the IRH for sure! The CO profile is really nice but from the front it looks weird and perchy on your head. I lean sliiiightly towards the IRH for you... something about it just flatters your face/head very nicely!
I like that the irh has a bit of base skull neck protection. Maybe just the harness but looks quite nice. The onek looks good too. CO is fine, and gives you majick hunter hair! But I agre with you onek or irh.
I would vote the IRH of those options. I've loved all of mine, regardless of the fact the brand is less popular. Have you tried a Samshield? Seriously like putting a pillow on your head!

I like it, too- it's pretty lightweight!
For real, the COs just look like I put half a watermelon on my head.
I like the harness on it because it contains more of my hair. A hairnet doesn't always cut it!
I haven't tried a Samshield! I'll have to see if I can get us to order a few.

I like that the vents on it don't make it look like I'm a weird bug instead of a person.
The GR8 looks too big for you. The oneK looks really nice.
I like the One K the best, the IRH is a close second though.

The CO looks like it's "perched" on your head IMO... Which is what they do to me! I like the IRH the best and have had phenomenal experiences with the brand myself
I dislike IRH (so much) but it looks the best on you, I think. The others don't look quite right.
Based on appearance alone, I'm partial to the One K.
I know next to nothing about helmets: mine is dorky-pretty and that was good enough for me :D
I like the One K! I love the side of the GR8 on you, but I agree with everyone above that it looks 'perchy' from the front!
Love the IRH Extreme and it looks like it fits you well. Some look like they fit great on the side profile but others look a bit perched or too wide on the front.
I think the One K looks really good on you. I have the same problem with the COs looking a little perchy, which sucks because I really like them.

i'm a little late to this game - but for what it's worth i LOVE my one k! (the COs don't even come close to working for me lol). the IRH is nice too
